armed robber ( a neologism which is much stronger than omubbi). kukuba kkondo (or bwakkondo), to commit armed robbery (esp. at night), cf. obwakkondo.

burglar, lit. the iarge naii (kyala) has given it to me (-kimpadde).

break into (a house, building, etc.). kuyingirira mayu ga bantu, to burglarize the houses of people; to seduce other people's wives.

okusima ennyumba, to dig into a house (to burglarize it), okusima omuntu, to pump a person, try to extract information from a person.

don't call out my name at night (because of the popular belief that this can only help potential burglars). cf. enjatula, enjatuza, nnamwatulira.
