None of the preceding equivalents expresses the full meaning of kitiibwa which is perhaps the greatest ideal and the most sought after attribute of the Baganda. e- with or without the -a of rel. aggressive, vigorous, enterprising; head-strong; brave, bold, fearless. empaiakilaie z'abasajja, bold, aggressive men.

lit. I eat it (nkalya-) and I fear (-ntya), i.e., I cannot eat it without him.

adj. fearless, bold, courageous, heroic, omuzira nnamige, a heroic person.

e- (n/n) bird; airplane; swelling in the side. Ekika ky'Ennyonyi, the Bird Clan, okugula ennyonyi, to flee in fear of the consequences of an evil or crime one has committed, lit. to buy an airplane.
