a- (ka/bu) small village. Tosekera ku kaalo katono. lit. You don't laugh in a small village, i.e., Your laughter is very loud. You laugh too much. cf. ekyalo.
a-: ekyalo ekigudde akaleka, a village having many extensive, well-cultivated and fertile banana gardens.
o- with the -a of rel. scattered, spread out; sporadic. Ekyalo kya lubandaasi. The village is spread out. Yeebaka twa lubandaasi. He slept fitfully, lit. a sporadic (sleep, otulo, implied by twa). cf. bandaala.
e-: enfukaamirizi z'ekyalo, the outskirts of a village, ennyumba enfukaamirizi, outlying houses. cf. fukamira.
