e- as an adv. at the back of the house; in the rear, behind, emmanju waffe, behind us. emmanju w'olubiri, behind the palace, at the rear of the palace, oluggi •Jin'ciumaiiju, ilic back uuor. cf. enju.

e- with the -a of rel. hard to get; scarce; few, lit. stretch (leega) the forehead (bwenyi). Kati amazzi ewaffe ga

at Kintu's (house), omwa takes the possessive suffixes. omwange, at my house, omwaffe, at our house, etc.

It is not joined to proper nouns but is prefixed directlv to a number nf pronouns and common nouns, many of which acquire thereby an adverbial function, mabega, back; emabega, backwards, back, amaka, home; eka, at home, (in the direction of) home, waffe, our(s); ewaffe, at our house. cf. ewa.

improve, okubennanya ng'olutta ow'etlulu, to be simple, be a snap (like killing a one-eyed man). Ttiimu ya Ssemakula bwe yazze ewaffe okuzannya omupiira okugigoba twabennanyizza bubennanya.
