o- (bu/-) wedding; state of being a newlywed, embaga ey'obugole, wedding; wedding feast, ekyambalo ky'obugole, wedding garment, cf. omugole.

e- adv. at home; home(wards). Embaga bwe yaggwa ne tugenda eka. When the wedding was over we went home. cf. am aka, awaka.

(la) lit. protruding structure, something huge/gigantic/sensational. kakundiiri w'olubuto, a huge stomach, kakundiiri w'ennyindo, an enormous nose. Eri embaga yabadde kakundiiri. That wedding reception was a magnificent event.

a- (ka/bu) tiny fowl flea, okutwala ssente buloolo, to be very expensive, require a great deal of money. Ku mbaga kwabaddeko abantu buloolo. There were a great many people at the wedding.

a- (ka/bu) party held for the groom or bride on the night before the wedding.

e- (ki/bi) temporary outdoor structure with open sides and a canopy, usually constructed with banana leaves. It is used for social events, wedding parties, etc.

e- also kyaziyazi adv. crosswise. okntuula ekigazigazi, to sit sprawled out, sit in a very relaxed manner; to feel at ease in the company of others. Atuula kyaziyazi omugumba ky'atuula ku mbaga. She takes up a lot of space like a childless woman at a wedding party, cf. -gazi.

e- (ki/bi) celebration; festival; jubilee; party; rejoicing, exultation. Bampi- se ku kijaguzo kyabwe eky'emyaka 25 mu bufumbo. They have invited me to their 25th wedding anniversary celebratiob. c/. j aguza.

e- with the -a of rel. mediocre; moderate. Embaga yaabwe yabadde ya kiyabayaba. Their wedding was a mediocre (affair), mu ngeri ya kiyabayaba, in a mediocre manner, imperfectly, cf. -yabaya- ba.

okukubaakuba ama- tu, to be convalescent, recover from an illness. Yabakubaakubako okujja mu mbaga ye. He urged them to come to his wedding feast.
