o- (lu/n) ravine, crevasse, rift; division, separation; gap.

e- (n/n) way of separating; separation, division; difference; disagreement. cf. yawuka, yawukana.
e- (li/ma) stone, brick or ball of clay used for cooking. Three of these are usually arranged in the form of a triangle. The pot is placed on top and the firewood is inserted through the openings at the sides, amasiga is now also used to designate the cooking area of a stove or oven, essiga is also the term applied to the largest subdivision of a clan. cf. obusiga.
o- (mu/mi) barkcloth tree, a tree of the genus Ficus possessing a strong, fibrous inner bark from which barkcloth is made; one of the sub-divisions of a clan; a rank of chieftainship, cf. olutubatuba.
o- (mu/ba) head of a clan (ekika) or of any of the sub-divisions of a clan (essiga, omutuba, olunyiriri). The bataka formerly possessed large areas of land, kuba mutaka (mu kifo), to be an old-timer/ a long-time resident (in a place). Paapa mutaka mu Butuluki.
