a- (ka/bu) very small fragment of pottery; tile. Essomero lyaseresebwa bugyo. The school was roofed with tiles. cf. oluggyo.

a- usually plur. (ka/bu) tiny fragments and liquid spray which splash off of barkcloth when it is being beaten.

a- (ka/bu) small piece, fragment, okutuuza akapapajjo, to sit on the edge (e.g., of a chair) or on the carrier of a bicycle, cf. ekipapajjo.

e- (ki/bi) piece; fragment, eki- papajjo ky'oluku, apiece of firewood.

o- plur. enzigyo (lu/n) fragment of pottery, potsherd, okwetakuza oluggyo, to be very poor, lit. to scratch oneself with a piece of a pot. cf. akaggyo, ekiggyo.

e- (n/n) kind of nut resembling a peanut/groundnut; fragment, piece (e.g., of stone). Empande emu eyiwa ekisero, (prov.) One (fallen) mpande causes the whole basket to be spilled (because the person carrying the basket stooDs to nick it up). Excessive attention to small things leads to the loss of large things, cf. ^oluwande.

e- (n/n) remnants, remains; siftings; larger fragments which remain after grinding; survivors (in war, shipwreck, etc.). cf. wulunguka.
