Baalulaza mu ddiiro amatama gafunye ku bikonde. They took us into the dining room to eat, lit. so that the cheeks could fold into fists. Yamuliira ttama. He shouted at him. cf. entama.

okubatika amatama, to fail to respond, remain speechless.
