e- (li/ma) partly ripened fruit of the muwafu or the musaali tree. Lukuba eggu ne luleka omuzima. (Death, olumbe) strikes the young fruit and leaves the ripe fruit (untouched). This saying refers to one who dies at a very young age.

The simple form occurs only in the imper. and the 3rd pers. hortative subj. iveebaie (piur. mwebaiej thank you; well done! yeebale (plur. beebale) let him (them) be thanked; well done (by him, them)! Weebale weebale, amala ebintu. (prov.) (3y saying) thank you, thank you, he finishes things. One who is grateful finds all things easier.
