e- adv. up, above, okudda engulu, to regain consciousness. Afrika ey'engulu, northern Africa, upper Africa, engulu ku lusozi, up on the hill, okuluma n'ogw'engu- lu, lit. to bite with the upper (lip, omumwa, implied), to be determined/resolved, cf. eggulu, kungulu, waggulu.
